I just wish that my picture of Trafalgar Square had turned out like Ken MacGray’s. Check it out.

Man. I’ve got to get a better camera.

And better timing.

And eyes.

And sense of aesthetics.


I know I’m being nostalgic. But for some reason it bothers me that I know this about Ken’s beautiful photo: if, just after taking it, he turned about 90 degrees to his right, he would be staring nearly straight at St. Martin’s in the field (and just north of it, the market where you can buy cool things sometimes). If he’d turned 90 degrees to his left, he could’ve either gotten some ice cream or gone to the post office.

Really nostalgic. I need to go back. I suppose that’s one of the advantages of being a specialist in British literature: they have the things I need.
