I found this sentence on a discussion forum:

I was just crossing campus to some one of my professors a homework assignment that was not in his grade books but I had.

The author is a native-speaker of English, attending an American university. I can’t even imagine how one would construct a sentence this awful. To make matters even worse, none of the respondents has commented on the poster’s incoherence.

If Tennyson’s Ulysses has “become a name,” I have “become a grammar nazi.”
