I Know What I Know

Some completely unrelated things before I drag myself off to bed:

1) I despise the word “emails.” I prefer “pieces of email” or simply “email.”

2) If, when you casually peruse the bargain bin of your mega-music store you find yourself thinking “I can’t believe that I’ve found, over and over again, 27 copies of these awesome CDs!!!” there is a very good chance that you don’t have the most discriminating taste in music.

3) I hate the use of the word “mad” as a replacement for “a whole lot of.” If I may, I suggest the following alternatives: whacky, kooky, nuts, or cuckoo.

4) I hate with the heat of a nova (to steal a phrase from the West Wing a while back) the expression “back in the day.”

And with that, I’m off to bed.
