Great Guitar Hunt

with 3 comments

Just got a call from the guitar guy at the shop. Here are the specs:

Lefty Breedlove C25 American Series (handmade in Oregon, custom)
Indian rosewood back and sides
Sitka spruce top
Gloss top and semi-gloss back and sides
abalone rosette around the soundhole
black binding on the body
“Winged” bridge
pearl fret dots
gotoh tuners
Hard case included

I told them I need a couple of days to decide whether to pay in full up front (which they want) or pay them 3/4 down now and the rest on delivery. It’s really just a matter of convenience for me, at the moment.

Oh, and it’ll take 120 days to build and deliver. Apparently you can call them and find out what they’re working on at any particular moment (e.g. “We just got the neck stained!”).

  3. speaking from experience, I’d recommend not spacing the calls any less than 3 weeks apart. you’ve been warned! 😉
